Why is a pesticide marker left on my property after an organic service?
The State of Connecticut requires an application marker be left on all properties serviced regardless of organic or technical material. This protects you as the homeowner to ensure nothing has been placed on your property without your knowledge.
How do I make an appointment for a consultation?
During peak season we do not offer consults. Our pricing is based on square footage/acre. We use a commercial measuring tool similar to Google Earth to come up with the property size.
What day/time will be my appointment be?
Here's the great thing - you don't need to be home for your spray or tube application which will occur Monday through Friday from 7am to 6pm. Our crew texts one hour prior to their arrival as a courtesy. We text the number that is on your contract please ensure that number is correct! Our customers are grouped by neighborhood, not only does this allow us to visit more happy customers but it saves on gas and emissions too.
What kind of ticks does your product kill?
We tested against both male and female ticks of each species: Brown Dog ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus), American Dog ticks (Dermacentor variabilis), Lone Star ticks (Amblyomma americanum) and Deer ticks (Ixodes scapularis).
Why is my payment due the night prior to the service date listed on your invoice?
Your payment represents your understanding that we are coming to your property for the services and the charges listed on your invoice. A licensed and insured truck, a licensed applicator and organic certified material will be scheduled and reserved for your property once we receive payment.
Can you hold a spot for me until I make the decision?
Regrettably we can not. We take upwards of 75 calls per day. We schedule our routes on a first booked, first serve basis.
Can you refer me to a company that does the work you don't do (e.g., re-seeding)?
We can not speak to the capability, license or insurance of another company and for that reason we do not offer referrals.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. A GreenSprays™ employee is on every single job.
I'm a landscaper and either don't hold the licenses required or I am looking to outsource to a full service tick company, can you take on my book of business?
Yes. Please call Stacy in the office for details.
Is there a trip charge or rescheduling fee?
Yes! If we arrive at your door and are turned away for any reason (landscapers, play date, time just doesn't work for you, etc) there is a $99 trip charge to reschedule your visit with us. We've paid for a truck and driver to be off the road and the material has been set aside for you. That material now quickly has to be redirected to another home when possible or it gets wasted. The fee is to offset the cost of our lost revenue and material that day.
I was sprayed and then it rained, did the product work?
Once our GreenSprays™ USDA organic certified tick and/or mosquito spray has been applied our blended botanical oils can not be moved by any precipitation. Rain storms help drive the product to move through the leaf layers to kill ticks where they reside.
Do you service Condos?
We do not service condos due to a number of factors beyond our control.
We are moving, what happens to our contract?
#1 Pay in advance for the services left, give a copy to your real estate attorney and they adjust it at closing exactly as they do the water bill, electric bill, etc. Typically an attorney's office reaches out to us for invoices and we can easily provide those electronically. #2 Cancel your contract and pay the $99 cancellation fee (page 2). #3 Have the new owner sign a contract with us and provide a valid card on file which would then transfer your contract to them and relieve you of your obligations under the contract. For example if you have 2 sprays left they would be signing up for 2 sprays at your pricing.
